In conclusion, Coconut Grove is a perfect place to spend holiday. There is not much to the bungalow but it had an in-wall aircon unit that managed to keep the midday heat out and just a hint of hot water in the shower not much missed. The day before we left they had their wifi repaired, which meant you could get signal from your room.
Coconut Grove is in a good location and the staff are excellent. There are not many good options for food however and the sea was a little choppy when we were there. Also, there was some slight leaking in the roof when it rained and the rooms are a little small and pokey. I have been to this resort for my wife birthday and i had wonderful trip around the island and i should thank kelvin he is so friendly he helped me alot there and jyp is also friendly she made tasty apple pie thank you again, snorkeling trip is awesome with this resort thank you.
Awesome staff, beautiful location, simple but comfortable and clean rooms. They could offer more trips to cater to the guests, meaning always have trips available and more options like guided jungle tours.
Overall however, one of my favorite trips ever and the staff made that possible!!! My partner and I had a lovely stay- the staff were so friendly and went out of their way to help! The room was simple but clean and had everything we needed. The beach just in front is beautiful and clean- my only comment is it would be nice to be able to use some umbrellas or loungers whilst on the beach.
Our one negative about our stay was service charge being put on everything As a result of this, we stopped eating or drinking at the Hotel which is a shame. You are also charged to use simple facilities such as snorkels or beach mats which we thought was strange as this is usually included in Hotel stays. Aside from this, the place is beautiful and the staff make up for the negative points.

I highly recommend this accommodation. Remember it cost almost 40mr per person to go to this side of the island and return so make sure you have cash but it is worth it! One cannot enough appreciate the peace and closeness of nature and the sea this place offers. Upon arrival from tiring travel from Singapore to Tg. Gemok and Juara through Tekek, we were greeted with the greatest hospitality by the staff and we felt our presence was truly appreciated. The food in Juara is not as good as in Tekek, but the beach is vastly superior. From coconut grove, you can just walk 25ish meters straight into the turqoise waters and white sand beach.
When staying here, one should respect and appreciate the nature and quiet down for a while. The staff was always super nice and professional and provides us snorkling gear, SUP etc for rent. We were very impressed and fortunate to stay at Coconut Grove.

Although it was on the quiet side of the island, there was the beach right in front, a restaurant located in the lobby, and options to rent bikes and diving gear or join a snorkeling tour around the island. The manager, Jasper, was incredibly helpful and arranged my transport to and from the jetty.
He even made sure that the price was as promised 30 MYR the second time around. The room itself had all the basic amenities although the water heater never quite heated up the water to a comfortable temperature. These beach chalets are really nice but having gone there in the low season it rained a lot and the rain came through on to our beds. It is also really secluded compared to Tekek there was one restaurant next door besides that it was at least a 20 mins walk to the one after that.
Now this is the bad bit, when we arrived the man Raj the other so called helper told us that the coconut chalet restaurant was not open and had no drinks to serve as it was the low season which we should of been informed before our stay as Juara is really secluded. After spending one night we came back to find Raj had all his friends in the restaurant and they had beers and other drinks but as we were told there was no drinks available for us. Also I did not like the way Raj spoke to the nice lady he spoke to her like a piece of crap.
If you're a person who love to do nothing by just laying on the beach with a book or just for relaxing. It's definitely a wonderful place. My 6yrs old son is a beach boy, he can played at beach side for whole day. So it's doesn't matter for other facilities. Staying at Coco Grove was the best decision we made for this trip. Our chalet was clean and had a beautiful view of the see. It's the kind of place that you look forward to coming back to again.
